We received a call on Tuesday evening from an elderly customer in the Coundon area of Coventry. Whilst taking out some rubbish to his wheelie bin, the door slammed shut behind him and he found himself locked out of his home.
He Eydens as luckily, we have an emergency locksmith service, and he was talking to one of our expert call handlers (Sarah) within minutes. She guided him through the process and asked for all the relevant information to get the gentleman back into the safety of his own home as soon as possible.
It was established that the gentleman had a solid wooden door with a night latch installed, which activated when the door shut, thus locking him out.
The details were passed to one of our expert emergency locksmith engineers (Pat) and within 30 minutes he was on site. We managed to gain access to the property with no damage to the customer’s door or lock.
